The Shenyang J-15 (Flying Shark) is a carrier-based multirole combat aircraft developed by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation for the Chinese Navy. The fighter jet is powered by two Shenyang WS-10 turbofan engines, each capable of producing a thrust of 126kN. It is coated with radar-absorbent materials and features an electronically scanned AESA radar along with an infrared-based search and tracking system. The J-15 is based on the Russian Sukhoi Su-33, but unlike the official J-11 program, it is not a licensed production.
