The P-47 Thunderbolt™ is a single-seat fighter and fighter-jet aircraft, the forerunner of modern multi-role fighters. The largest single-engine fighter of World War II, this aircraft was produced in over 15,000 examples and was the most numerous and one of the most successful US fighter aircraft. The P-47 appeared on the frontlines in Europe, Africa, the Far East and the Pacific. It was fondly called the 'Jug' because of its size. It was an abbreviation for 'Juggernaut' meaning big truck.

The P-47 has been developed in a matching 1:32 scale to the rest of the collection using 477 COBI building blocks. The model features high-quality prints that will not rub off during use. Using these, the historic painting of the 'Little Chief' and other details of the aircraft have been reproduced. The model has many moving parts such as rotating wheels with rubber tyres, a movable propeller and ailerons. In the cabin you can place the included pilot figure! This is a great model for all history and aviation enthusiasts and collectors. The whole set is completed with a block display stand and a block with the name of the model printed on it.
