The Citroen 2CV was continuously produced and improved from 1949 to 1990, becoming an icon of the French automotive industry. The car was designed before the war. Its origin is linked to the necessity of producing a simple and cheap car for the masses,
true to the slogan of the company's chief Pierre Boulanger, "quatre roues sous un parapluie" (four wheels under an umbrella). The car was maximally simplified, economical, and allowed the comfortable transport of 4 people with luggage. Dubbed as the ugliest car in the world at the 1948 Paris Salon, it became, contrary to critics' opinions, an object of desire. In 41 years of production, nearly 4 million units were manufactured in factories worldwide. Today, this car has cult status and is a treat for collectors. In 1980, the premiere of a special version of the iconic Citroen 2CV took place! The Limited Charleston was produced in only 8,000 copies! The car stood out with its attractive, characteristic two-tone body and interior.
Using 85 COBI building blocks, you build a model of the iconic Citroen 2CV Charleston, perfectly replicated at a scale of 1:35. Thanks to the use of elements specially developed for this car, the shape of the body is as close as possible to the original. Also noteworthy are the completely new headlights, which will certainly be used in many models of the COBI Historical Collection! The car is equipped with 4 movable wheels and prints of the most important details. The Citroen is 11 cm long and 4.5 cm high. The kit includes a plate with the model's signature and the CITROEN logo from that time! The printed license plates also display the model designation.
